1. Nature of Telehealth Services

Verva Health provides telehealth services, meaning your consultations with licensed healthcare providers occur remotely via video or secure messaging. By using our services, you consent to receiving care through telehealth technology.

2. Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)

Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy involves the use of hormones that are chemically identical to those produced by your body. As with any medical treatment, HRT carries potential benefits and risks. Your provider will discuss these with you during your consultation.

3. Potential Benefits

HRT may help alleviate symptoms of perimenopause and menopause including hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disturbances, mood changes, low libido, vaginal dryness, and cognitive changes.

4. Potential Risks

Potential risks of HRT may include blood clots, stroke, breast tenderness, bloating, and in some cases, increased risk of certain cancers. Your provider will evaluate your personal risk factors and discuss whether HRT is appropriate for you.

5. Your Right to Refuse or Withdraw

You have the right to refuse or discontinue treatment at any time. Refusing or withdrawing from treatment will not affect your access to future care through Verva Health.

6. Voluntary Consent

By proceeding with a consultation and treatment through Verva Health, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this informed consent, had the opportunity to ask questions, and voluntarily consent to receive telehealth services and HRT as prescribed by your provider.
